| We have prepared
this sheet to give you an outline of the general steps you need to take in order
to make and secure a reservation, and what needs to be done before your date of
departure to France. 1. Decide what time of the
year you would like to come to Burgundy.
2. When you have decided on some approximate dates for
your stay, you should contact us to
make sure that this time has not already been booked. If your proposed
dates are not free, we could at this point suggest possible alternate dates that
are still available.
3. Once we have mutually found dates which are free and
work for you, you must secure your reservation for such dates. To do this,
please notify us that you are ready to make a booking, and we will email you the
booking instructions.
4. To secure your booking you will need to send, along
with a filled out booking form, a cheque, money order, or bank transfer for 50%
of the total rent due.
5. Once you have secured your reservation, you will
probably wish to take care of other details of your trip (i.e. plane tickets,
renewing your passport, etc.) if you have not already done so. We highly
recommend renting a car for your stay in the two village properties (La
Maison de la Vieille Vigne and La Maison des Deux Clochers) and we
can help you do this.
6. Shortly after we have received your booking form and
cheque to secure your reservation, we will email you a reservation confirmation
/ final bill which
clearly shows your dates of arrival and departure, as well as the outstanding balance
still due.
7. We must receive payment of your outstanding balance and
your damage deposit, as detailed on your bill, at least 30 days before
your reserved date of arrival at the house.
8. Once we have received full payment of the bill, we will
provide you with maps, directions to the house, and instructions on how to
collect your keys whether you arrive day or night.
